I'm trying to decide what kind of laptop I want for my birthday? Help Me!?

I'm getting a laptop for my birthday and I'm trying to decide what kind. I'm debating between the Asus 15.6" Display/ Intel Pentuim Processor. Or the Toshiba Satellite 15.6"/ Intel Core i3 Processor. I've heard good and bad things about both! Please help me, and give me some updates you know or any experience you have with these computers!
