I'm bleedin from my butthole. What do I do?

For the past couple weeks, I'd had a really itchy butthole. I just went on a three day hike, and I was chafing really really bad up there. I get back, take a seat on the porcelain throne, wipe, and there's blood on the toilet paper. It freaked me out really bad. The advice I was given was to put first aid cream on it and wait. I know it's awkward, but if you know what to do, I'm all ears.
